Happy New Year!!

Wow already five days into the new year!!! Time is flying! Happy New Year to you all! I hope you have all had a lovely Holiday season and that the year ahead will be full of health, happiness and crafty creativeness!

I always enjoy the start of a New Year! I love how it gives everybody new incentives. I see so many people around me become more motivated and a little more positive that I just can't help jump on the 'New Year, New me' band wagon!

As usual, as the end of the year approached, I had a little conversation with myself. A little evaluation of how things were going and thoughts about what I want to achieve during the upcoming year.  Its not like I've set myself New Years resolutions as I tend to break them a little to soon and feel disheartened . They are more like general things that I want to focus a little more on. Things to work on, but with no set goal. This way I can not get disappointed if I do not reach the goal. I'm thinking of it as an unlimited goal. A year of unlimited achievements. Sounds pretty positive! :-)
So here's my list:

Its not the biggest list in the world, which is good. I can really focus on each of the points.
I've already made my steps at working on my New Years List.

Like many others, I made a New Years trip to the gym. I got myself a years membership and I'm feeling really motivated and so far I'm enjoying my workout time. Its a nice time for me to spend alone and have just my thoughts for company. I love running on the treadmill listening to my favorite music to keep me motivated.

I'm also getting back into the habit of practicing my singing when I'm not on stage. We have a couple of music rooms at the theatre that are not used during the show, so I'm making good use of them.

As for the other things on my list they are definite works in progress. But I am taking small steps in the right direction!

Dennis and I are also going to be making some changes to the blog in the next few weeks, so things may start to look a little different. We are thinking of changing the layout a little and the concept behind us sharing blog posts. So watch this space!

I hope that everybody's New Year is off to a good start? Are you making any resolutions or lists like I have? Or maybe you have some new projects for the New Year? Dennis and I have a couple of projects up our sleeves! Projects that we will no doubt share with you very soon!

  2. Happy New Year Matt and Dennis!
Your new lay out is so wonderful!
I always love the combination of white with beautiful colours, so fresh and clean and pretty, and the header is great with the font and the pictures :)
    Have a good weekend!

    Love, Diemie xx

  3. I love the new layout, your very clever how you've done that.

I have a few projects I want to get done this year and completed most of my list last year. I also want to try and regain some of the patients I used to have but seemed to have lost with age.

  4. Happy New Year to you both!

I don't make resolutions either but make a list of 'things I'd like to do this year' which include finishing my first pair of knitted socks (nearly there), make socks for hubby, brothers, friends, (as long as they don't have size 12 feet!), finish all my UFO's, read all the unread books sitting on my bookcases (haven't counted how many there are but there are a LOT), do more hiking. I've also decided this year to keep a handwritten journal of the projects I've made.

    Have a great weekend
    Love Joanna x

  5. I am totally with you on resolutions! I always break them too so I've made myself a 'to do in 2012' list and so far it's going ok :-)
